What is the Arctic Cranberry Facial?

As the seasons change, so does our skin. Whether it’s lack of sleep, stress, environment factors, or diet, our skin can be compromised by these factors. This is why getting regular facials is essential for improving your skin’s appearance and health. And our Arctic Cranberry Facial is designed to combat environmental damage, aging skin, and uneven skin tone.

During your consultation, our estheticians will perform a skin analysis to personalize all methods and products to your specific skin. This is the most important step to your facial, as it ensures that you get the most out of your facial, as well as the best results for your skin. After your skin consultation, you will be guided to one of our facial treatment rooms to allow you time to undress before your facial begins.

Preparing for Your Facial

Prior to your consultation, it’s important to prepare your skin to ensure best results. Given that our Arctic Cranberry Facial includes an enzyme used for exfoliating the skin, it’s important that you stop using all forms of exfoliation for at least 5 to 7 days before your appointment. For example, retinols, topical steroids, and even photosensitizing, oral skin thinning, and acne medications. In addition, we recommend avoiding facial waxing and excessive sun exposure in the week leading up to your facial.

Feel free to perform your regular skin care routine on the day of your appointment, but avoid using any type of exfoliants. You should come to your appointment at least 15 minutes early and please do not wear makeup, which helps your skin cleanses to be more effective.

During Your Facial

It’s now time for your relaxing skin treatment to begin! All of our facials begin with a relaxation massage on the décolletage, face, and neck, and of course, double cleansing your face. The massage is especially helpful for reducing puffiness.

Next we proceed with your facial, applying the Arctic Cranberry Enzyme. This enzyme has multiple alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) used to exfoliate and brighten your skin for a more even tone. But the secret powerhouse in this enzyme is the arctic cranberry seed oil. It’s full of antioxidants to protect your skin from harmful free radicals and environment damage. In addition, this special seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids to provide anti-inflammatory and calming effects.

After extractions, the esthetician will apply our Wintermint Mask. This mask is not only perfect for calming inflammation, but it’s also nourishing and hydrating as it repairs your skin’s barrier. The mask is formulated with coconut fruit juice, shea butter, and niacinamide. These skincare ingredients improve skin tone, while also help firm and hydrate the skin. At the end of your facial, your esthetician will apply important products such as a moisturizer or serum, and sunscreen.

After Your Facial

Your facial is now complete and you can enjoy hydrated, fresh, exfoliated skin with a youthful glow. In the weeks following your facial, be sure to protect your skin from the sun by using a sunscreen, even on cloudy days. And equally important, use gentle cleansers and appropriate moisturizers for your skin type. If you’re not sure which type of these products to use, your esthetician will discuss options with you based on your skin type.

In addition, we highly recommend avoiding facial waxing for up to 7 days after your facial treatment. Doing so will decrease the chance of undoing all the effects of your Arctic Cranberry Facial.
