What Is eMatrix Sublative Skin Resurfacing?

eMatrix sublative skin resurfacing is a laser treatment that uses radio frequency to correct a range of skin issues. For example, overall youthfulness, texture, wrinkles, and scarring. Because it allows for deeper penetration of the skin, sublative is unique from other treatments. As a result, the treatment can reach underlying areas to promote new collagen production. Recovery time is also quicker because it’s less invasive than other laser treatment alternatives.

How Does Sublative Work?

During your eMatrix sublative skin resurfacing treatment, radiofrequency energy moves through the deeper layers of skin via a matrix. The matrix is not Keanu Reeves’ movie “The Matrix” :), but rather a grid of 64 electrodes with a special tip on the machine’s applicator.

The surrounding skin is left unharmed and the targeted skin is destroyed using the method. As a result, it encourages the surrounding skin to begin assisting in healing the treated skin. And stimulating the production of collagen during the healing processes.

What Is Recovery Like?

There is minimal recovery associated with this procedure. In fact, most patients can return to their normal daily activities immediately following treatment. However, the first two days after undergoing eMatrix sublative skin resurfacing, you may experience mild swelling or redness. This can be followed by a little flaking and dryness of the older layers of your skin. Don’t be alarmed as this is all completely normal and can be treated with a gentle moisturizer.
